ALEKSEI ‘ALEX’ WEAVER

Hi! I’m Aleksei, and most people call me Alex. I’m a NASM-certified personal trainer, AFPA-certified holistic nutrition coach, and former Division I athlete. I love anything outdoors and am committed to making even the most mundane of tasks an adventure (yes, even grocery shopping). When I’m not working with clients or performing (dangerous) tricks on one of my balance boards, I enjoy spending time outside, reading non-fiction, and hanging out with my spouse & two dogs. I’m a big fan of hardcore and emo music and you can always find me dancing in the pit when my favorite bands are in town.

Over the course of my life, I have had to learn to manage several chronic illnesses (EDS, POTS, and endometriosis to name a few). My coaching philosophy has been directly shaped by my own complex journey to finding a sustainable balance. Through this journey, I have seen firsthand the importance of caring for our minds and spirits in the same ways we care for our physical bodies. Over the years, therapy and an array of other traditional and non-traditional healing modalities have helped me to better connect with and nourish my physical and emotional self. Because of my experiences, my approach to movement is an intentionally mindful, breath-and-energy-focused practice in which I am committed to exploring what my body is capable of while simultaneously honoring my own needs and boundaries. I enjoy setting and reaching challenging goals while cultivating resilience in both body and mind, inside and outside the gym.

I firmly believe that movement is a fundamental part of holistic wellbeing and there are infinite ways to incorporate empowering, grounding, centering, and joyful practices into our daily lives. Personally, I find great joy in coaching. I love helping others find practices and habits that work while simultaneously providing the support and guidance necessary for them to thrive, inside and outside their comfort zones. Everyone deserves access to holistic coaching and I am proud to be able to channel my own education, background, and experiences into the coaching services offered by Alien Athletes.
